The 5K Schlep, a certified 5K, brings together hundreds of participants, across the country and abroad, ranging in age from 6 - 90 years old, bound together in solidarity to raise the hopes of those battling breast, ovarian and prostate cancer as well as awareness and funds to help further cancer research and treatment.
With over thousands of supporters nationwide, proceeds from this event partially benefit Rabin Medical Center’s BRCA Multidisciplinary Clinic in Israel serving women with a high risk of breast and ovarian cancer, as well as funding research to find cures for breast and ovarian cancer at Rabin Medical Center’s Davidoff Cancer Center - a world class facility for the treatment and prevention of cancer.
American Friends of Rabin Medical Center (AFRMC) iis a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization that was established in 1995. Through a variety of programs and fundraisers across the United States, the funds raised by American Friends of Rabin Medical Center benefit AFRMC in furtherance of its mission to fund charitable, educational and scientific purposes at Rabin Medical Center. A portion of all funds raised are used for AFRMC operations. Israel’s Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikvah, named after former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, is the pride of Israel, serving the needs of one million patients annually without regard to ethnicity, nationality or religion.
